An Introduction to Power BI – 1 day course
Course Overview
This Microsoft Power BI course teaches you how to connect to a range of data sources, create dashboards and reports, and collaborate with others. The course works with data from Excel, csv files, and websites. You will learn how to check data accuracy, create charts, maps, and tables, and compile them into user-friendly report dashboards. Gain insight into data model relationships, and writing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to enhance a report’s capabilities. You will also learn how to share your reports with others.
An Introduction to Power BI – 2 day course
Course Overview
This two-day course provides instruction on connecting to, and transforming data from different sources, and creating reports using a variety of visualisations including, interactive maps and various chart types. You will learn to write calculations using M (Mashup) formulas in the Power Query Editor, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to enhance your report’s capabilities.
You will learn how to use Microsoft Power BI beyond the basics, learn about the different view elements contained within the app including, Report View, where visualisations are created, Table View, where the dataset is stored, Model View, where the data model relationships are accessed, and the Power Query Editor, where data is cleaned, shaped and prepared. Additionally, you will learn about the Power BI service where you can share your reports in a variety of ways.

Power BI Intermediate course – 2 Day
Course Overview
This course builds on the Power BI Introduction two-day course and is aimed squarely at users seeking to explore the more advanced elements in Microsoft Power BI Desktop. The course maintains a balanced, yet in-depth look at data analysis that includes working with inconsistent data in the Power Query Editor. It takes a deep dive into writing DAX formulas to enhance reports, followed by a look at creating dynamic, interactive dashboards that aid users to better understand the data they are analysing.
The aim of this course is to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the analytical process by working with business examples that will equip participants with the necessary skills to enhance reports and explore Power BI’s capabilities in more depth.
Power BI Advanced course – 1 Day
Course Overview
This advanced course takes a deep dive into AI with Microsoft Copilot to greatly enhance your data analysis experience. It looks at the analytics pane to spot trends, and configure anomaly detection to highlight any quality issues in your data. It also includes key influencers that help you to understand factors that drive business metric that has a direct impact on the performance of a business.
Learn how to use parameters to ask ‘what if’ questions about your data and to consolidate multiple tasks. The course also looks at forecasting features that allow you to predict future behaviour patterns in your data. It also looks at using DAX to build tables.
